Keith Moon: - I've finally met a woman who loves everything I do and and claps in all the right places.
Persuaded Keith to spend several weeks at a Los Angeles clinic for alcoholics but unfortunately he returned to his usual drunken ways whenever he was discharged.
On the 23rd of October 1976, the Biritsh press announced that Keith was getting married to Annette in Los Angeles on December 15th with Pete Townshend acting as best man. Keith had bought a $15,000 gold ring from Tiffany's and a special jet had been chartered to fly guests (including three Beatles) from London. Annette hadn't been informed of any of this and the event was cancelled three days before it was meant to happen.
Moved into a flat at 12 Curzon Place, Mayfair with Keith. He had to borrow £15,000 from Pete Townshend to buy the flat from Harry Nilson.
Attends Paul McCartney's annual Buddy Holly Week party with Keith on 6 September 1978 at the Peppermint Park, Covent Garden, going on to the premiere of The Buddy Holly Story at the Odeon, Leicester Square. The couple left the film early to return to their Mayfair flat, and Annette found him dead the following morning from an accidental overdose of prescribed drugs.
Attends a private ceremony for Keith at Golders Green Crematorium and has to be helped away by The Who's aide Bill Harrison after collapsing in the Garden of Remembrance.
